MG - Lux
This is the luxury version of the knife MG - Momčilo Gavrić, which is the smallest knife in our lineup, but from the very first moment you take it in your hand, it’s clear it was never meant to be “small” in character. This is a fixed blade for people who don’t like folding knives—who don’t want mechanisms, springs, or play in the pivot—just a solid, reliable piece of steel that is always ready. It’s discreet, understated, easy to carry every day, and doesn’t draw attention, yet it gives you a sense of confidence you can feel in your grip. With an overall length of 5 5/8 inches (14.3 cm), a 2 1/8 inch blade (5.4 cm), and a thickness of 0.127 inches (3.3 mm), this knife carries serious construction in a compact form. The 2 7/8 inch handle (7.3 cm), 0.69 inches thick (1.75 cm), sits securely in the hand and offers control that exceeds its size. Short, but substantial. Small, yet solid. Discreet, but resolute.
It bears the name of Momčilo Gavrić, the youngest known soldier of World War I. For an American reader, try to imagine an eight-year-old child—an age when most kids are learning to ride a bike or throw a baseball. In 1914, that boy watched his family perish in war. He was left alone. No home. No parents. No childhood. Serbian soldiers found him and took him in. He did not become a soldier because he wanted to—he became one because he had nowhere left to return.
He endured the brutal winter retreat across the Albanian mountains in 1915. Cold that froze the breath in your lungs. Hunger that tightened the stomach for days on end. Men collapsing from exhaustion, never to rise again. Many grown, strong adults did not survive that march. He did. He recovered on Corfu and later witnessed the breakthrough of the Salonika Front. He was the smallest in the ranks—but not the smallest in courage. His size was not measured in years or height, but in endurance.
That is why this knife carries his name. Not because it is large, but because it proves that size is not the measure of strength. It doesn’t dominate space. It doesn’t demand attention. But when needed—it is there. Reliable. Solid. Ready. A quiet reminder that even the smallest among us can carry the greatest story.
